What to expect from a yoga class

If you are new to yoga it can be daunting, and you may have some yoga preconceptions. My classes focus on joyful movement, relaxation, and mind-body connection.

When you enter the class, place your mat and take a comfortable sitting position. We start with a few moments of settling, quieting the body and mind, readying ourselves for the coming practise. We then move though, and hold poses (Āsana), integrating the breath (Prāṇāyāma) and always ending the class with shavasana (supine relaxation). I often incorporate meditation (Dhyāna) in the practise.

I sometimes offer hands-on adjustments, but consent is never assumed. I will check-in at the beginning of each class to determine if you would like to receive adjustments during that class.

There will be lots of options for each asana and props will be available. I want my classes to be accessible to all. If you have an injury, illness or other condition and would like to discuss before you come along, please get it touch. If this all sounds great, book a class via the button below.
